The KX-TDA0470 IP Extension Card provides access for up to 16 KX­NT136 IP Telephones per card with a KX-TDA100/200/600 system. When installed in a KX-TDA 100 system a maximum of 4 KX-TDA0470 cards can be installed and configured for a maximum of 64 IP telephones. The quantity of IP telephones and cards is doubled in a KX-TDA200 system so up to 128 IP telephones can be supported.

One of the benefits of using IP telephones in a managed IP network is the elimination of additional cabling by leveraging the existing data network. Another large benefit is that it allows remote office workers direct communication to the TDA system when installed over a managed IP VPN (Cable/xDSL/Internet). Programming the IP Extension card is WEB based allowing you greater flexibility in supporting your customers.

When using IP-Telephones, you must ensure that the IP network it connects to has enough bandwidth to support VoIP communications properly.

If the amount of bandwidth required is larger than the network can accommodate, the speech quality will be compromised.
