KX-TDA Multi-Cell Wireless option allows voice and data transmission via 2.4GHz radio waves, within the range of strategically placed cell stations (antennas). As you move throughout the coverage area, the system provides seamless communication by automatically handing off the call from cell station to cell station. There are two Multi-Cell wireless handsets the KX-TD7680 and the premium KX-TD7690. A maximum of 28 handsets can be registered to the KX-TDA50 and KX-TAW848; up to 128 handsets can be registered on either the KX-TDA100 or KX-TDA200, and up to 512 handsets can be tied to the KX-TDA600.  In all case handsets can also be registered on to up to four separate TDA systems. Multi-Cell Wireless is low-cost and highly flexible solution that keeps people connected whether they are on the factory floor, in the warehouse, in a showroom or just about anywhere on site.

An available option is the ability to marry an individual portable handset directly to a wired extension.  Know as Wireless XDP, both phones will operate as one. Activation of an assigned portable station during a wired extension conversation will automatically transfer the call to the multi-cell portable station when turned on.  The transfer back to the wired extension is also as seamless.

Cell Station antennas must be located approximately 50 feet or more apart.  On the KX-TDA50, up to four KX-T0141 Cell Station antennas can be used to provide up to eight (8) talk paths for expanded coverage. Each cell station antenna can be up to 1640 feet away from the KX-TDA control unit, and connects with one pair of wires. Cell station antennas are powered by their TDA control unit eliminating the need for local power outlets. Up to 28 wireless phones can be "registered" to the KX-TDA50 system, but only eight wireless phones can be in use in the system at one time.

For larger simultaneous voice requirements, the KX-TDA100/200 and 600 systems have the ability to supports up to 512 wireless portable stations.  Either the KX-T0141 or KX-TDA0142 Cell Station antenna can be interfaced with a KX-TDA 100/200/600 control units.  Two channel KX-T0141 connect easily to any compatible extension port, while the KX-TDA0142 three channel antenna connects either to an 8 or 16 port cell station interface card.

Typical range is over 500 feet outdoors, however actual range will depend on the number and location of the Cell Station antennas.

		KX-TD7690 2.4GHz Premium Multi-Cell Wireless Phone. The premium “executive” model KX-TD7690 is a sleek and extremely lightweight, ultra thin portable handset. This handset weighs three (3) ounces with the battery. The KX-TD7690 has a 5-line backlit LCD display, a navigation key for line selection and feature access, and is equipped with a convenient 2.5mm headset jack. 		KX-TD7680 2.4GHz Multi-Cell Wireless Telephone The KX-TD7689 is the standard wireless handset, weighing six (6) ounces with the battery, is slightly larger than the TD7690 but smaller than most home cordless telephones. Features include a 3-line backlit LCD display, navigation key, line selection and feature keys and a 2.5mm headset jack.
