We just want to advise
you concerning the considerations of purchasing a Panasonic
KX-TDA system over the internet.
First of all, Panasonic USA
forbids any dealer from selling TDA systems and components over the
internet. This is not only a clause in our Certified
Dealer Contract with Panasonic, but has been the basis of
terminating perhaps a dozen dealer relationships by Panasonic
Legal.
But now the WARNING.....most of what you see
for sale are gray market units either from Canada, Australia or
Europe. You will see references to the KX-TDA30, a model
not sold in the US. Each system is specifically matched to
the telephony conditions in their respective markets. For
example, the wireless cellular systems in Europe is totally
incompatible with US equipment.
The reasons why you should not buy one of these are:

The operating
software within the units is different by market area, US Certified Dealers do not have
access the software to software and programming for
these systems.

Certified
Dealers receive software upgrade every 90 to 120 days.
Should you get one of these TDA systems working.....and you
get it operating...you will be forever stuck with the original
purchased version of the software. That is, if there is
any software on it at all. Panasonic TDA systems come
locked and require the dealer to go online and activate the
system through Panasonic before the software will even
operate.

In addition to the system software, each board has it's
own individual operating software, these too need to be updated on a regular basis.

We have had at least three version upgrades....there are
no assurances that what you will be buying over the internet,
will work once it is assembled.

My pet peeve.....never
once do they tell you that when you are
purchasing a TDA system, you are only buying a card cage and a
CPU card. You don't even get a power supply, because one
of three power supplies need to be matched to the TDA final
configuration. This purchase would be best used as a
door stop!! It takes considerable experience to even
configure an TDA system, let alone program it!
Lastly, our Panasonic Certified Technicians travel long
distance to attend week long class over weeks to learn how to properly
install and support the TDA system.
Please don't waste your money.......
